Title:
Fairy Door Diaries: Eliza and the Flower Fairies
Level:
Grades 1-3
Summary:
In an under-stair alcove in young Eliza’s bedroom, a curved door leads to a hidden sanctuary where Eliza has imaginary adventures with fairies. After creating a tiny fairy door from twigs and moss, Eliza’s surprised one day to see an actual fairy open it. The fairy, Poppy, invites her to visit her land via a magical bracelet, where she discovers beautiful, scent-filled flowers that magically regrow when she picks them. When she accidentally picks a forbidden flower, she ushers in danger to the land of the fairies via a pair of evil witches who cast a spell that steals the flowers’ scents and causes the fairies to wilt like their flowers. Now it’s up to Eliza to use her bravery and wits to save her new friends.
