Summary:
Thirteen-year-old Theo Kaplan lives and breathes soccer, so when his hero, West Mitchell, makes an antisemitic comment, he’s devastated and confused. His teammates don’t think it’s a big deal, but things go from bad to worse when anti-Jewish sentiments start to spread across school and then someone draws a swastika on Theo’s locker. When the adults do nothing about it, Theo is conflicted about what to do, and he wishes he could just ignore it and have everything go back to normal. But when his little sister, Annie, takes a stand in a big way, and Theo meets a new kid in town, he realizes he has to use his voice and ignoring the hate just helps fuel it.
